Christopher Bowen, Memory Weaver, Wool tapestry, 10"x15”

Rabbits have a history of being tied with the moon, immortality and rebirth, domestication, and companionship. Taking these themes and my own personal history with my stuffed rabbit, Memory Weaver will involve doing just that: taking my love, companionship, and memories of my stuffed rabbit and my grandfather and weaving it into a physical object.

Christopher Bowen is a 22 year old mixed media abstract artist living in Hopatcong, New Jersey. He is currently enrolled at Montclair State University as an Art Education Major and hopes to one day work with middle or high school students. His preferred mediums are monoprinting, bookbinding, collage, and acrylic pours.
