Ingrid Fortozo Delgado, Honrar, Photography and Headpiece: Artificial flowers and butterflies, plastic farm animals, rosaries, sunflowers seeds, and beans.

Dia de Muertos is a time to celebrate and honor the lives of our loved ones who have passed away. Through Honrar, I wanted to connect with my great grandparents and grandfather, remember them through their work, likes, and dislikes as well as celebrate their lives. â€‹Honrar is in memory of my great grandparents and grandfather whom I did not get to meet and spend time with.

Ingrid Fortozo Delgado is a Mexican Visual Artist based in New Jersey working in photography, and digital and sculpture collages. Delgado works in formalism exploring expressionism. Her recent work is a reflection of her culture, the social issue of immigration, and mental health. She uses saturated colors which she correlates to intense feelings and emotions. She believes every color holds great symbolism. In the future, Delgado would like to continue exploring photography, creating collages, and explore other mediums.
