Corinne Semper, Just Like the Sindia, These Traditions Will Be Buried Too, Mixed Media: plaster wrap, acrylic paint, wood, canvas, plexiglass, sand, seashells, paper, plastic, glue, wood putty, 12"x12"

Just Like the Sindia, These Traditions Will Be Buried Too explores a family’s decaying tradition of annual travel to Ocean City, New Jersey in comparison to the island’s infamous Sindia shipwreck. In a similar fashion as the Sindia, this lineage is slowly being swallowed up by the metaphorical tides and sands of time.
