     Plastic surgery has become common, especially in Asian culture. There are times when a person would get told what they should change. This can have a lasting effect on a person. It takes time to heal and recover. Similarly, the healing time after surgery is over a long period. The theme of healing is explored through this piece. ​Time of Healing is an abstract piece. It is about during a period of time when I was told to change the way I look. 

 

     Megan Barker is a 25 year old illustrator living in Belleville, New Jersey. The subject matter of her work are topics that are not talked about enough or people are not comfortable with. She hopes to bring attention to these topics through graphic novels. Her preferred mediums are painting, digital painting, and inks.
